Those two usually travel together. A barrier that has stopped holding water has also stopped keeping irritants out, so skin that flakes tends to sting as well - and a cream that only addresses the dryness leaves the second half untreated. This formula runs two systems in parallel. Ceramides rebuild the lipid layer that holds water in. Fermented centella handles the reactivity, with fermentation breaking the extract into smaller fragments that skin takes up more readily than the raw plant.
Supporting them sit panthenol and madecassoside, the centella fraction most associated with settling visible redness. There is no added fragrance.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the regular centella cream?
It is richer and the centella is fermented rather than used as a plain extract. If your skin is oily or combination, the lighter cream in the range is the better fit; this one is for genuine dryness.
Can I use it in the morning?
Yes. It finishes soft rather than greasy and sits under sunscreen without pilling. Very oily skin may prefer it at night only.
Is it fragrance-free?
There is no added fragrance, which is a large part of why we recommend it for skin that is reactive as well as dry.
Will it help with redness?
