That changes the character in two ways. It lasts considerably longer, and it reads warmer as it develops. The original is a daytime fragrance that fades politely by mid-afternoon; Absolu holds through an evening.
As an Eau de Parfum the concentration is higher than the original's EDT, which is the other half of the longevity difference.
