Panthenol

Round Lab's Birch Juice Moisturizing Cream is the middle step of the brand's birch line, and the one most people end up buying twice.
The formula leads with Betula Platyphylla Japonica Juice - birch sap tapped from trees on Korea's Baekdudaegan range - in place of a large share of the water most creams are built on. Sap brings its own sugars, minerals and amino acids, which is why the cream hydrates without needing the heavy occlusives that make a moisturiser feel greasy.
Around it sit panthenol for barrier repair, hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate to bind water at more than one depth, and dipotassium glycyrrhizate to calm visible redness. There is no added fragrance and no essential oil anywhere in the ingredient list, which matters if your skin is reactive.
In practice it behaves like a gel, not a balm. It disappears in seconds, leaves no shine, and takes sunscreen or makeup over the top without pilling - the reason it suits Gulf routines, where skin is dehydrated by air-conditioning indoors and heat outdoors on the same day.

Is this cream heavy enough for very dry skin?
For most dry skin, yes - used as the final step it holds hydration through the day. If your skin is severely dry or you are in air-conditioning constantly, press a second thin layer over the driest areas instead of one thick coat, or apply it over a hydrating toner while the skin is still damp.
Will it feel greasy or clog pores?
It is formulated as a gel-cream rather than a balm and absorbs within seconds, leaving no shine. There are no heavy occlusive oils high in the ingredient list, which is what usually causes the greasy, pore-clogging feel of a rich moisturiser.
Does it contain fragrance or essential oils?
No. There is no Parfum, Fragrance or essential oil anywhere in the ingredient list. The botanical extracts present are used for their skin benefits, not for scent.
Can I wear it under sunscreen and makeup?
Yes - that is one of its strengths. It sinks in without tack, so SPF and base makeup layer over it cleanly rather than pilling. Give it thirty seconds to settle before the next step.
What is birch sap and why use it instead of water?
