Purito's Panthenol 10% Cream is the product we point at when a routine has gone wrong.
The pattern is familiar: several actives introduced quickly, then skin that stings at things it tolerated a month ago, flakes, and reacts to products it has used for years. The fix is not another product but a fortnight of doing very little - cleanser, moisturiser, sunscreen - while the barrier rebuilds.
This is the moisturiser for that fortnight. Panthenol at 10% is a genuine dose of one of the best-studied ingredients for barrier repair and calming reactivity. Ceramides rebuild the lipid layer that holds water in, and hyaluronic acid provides the water for them to hold. There is no fragrance and no essential oil.
Use morning and night as your only moisturiser during a repair stretch. Once skin is comfortable again, reintroduce actives one at a time with at least a week between each - which is the step people skip, and why the cycle repeats.

How long should I use it before adding actives back?
Two weeks of cleanser, this, and sunscreen for most people. Then reintroduce one active at a time with a week between each - reintroducing several at once is what causes the relapse.
Is it rich enough for very dry skin?
For most dry skin, yes. In severe dryness, press a second thin layer over the driest areas rather than applying one thick coat.
Can I use it long-term?
Yes. There is nothing in it that needs cycling, and plenty of people with reactive skin use it as their permanent moisturiser.
Will it help with redness?
Redness caused by a compromised barrier, yes, over a couple of weeks. Redness from rosacea or dilated capillaries is a different problem and needs different treatment.
