Lattafa's Yara Candy is the sweetest reading of the fragrance line that made the brand a Gulf household name.
The Yara signature is orange blossom and musk - a warm, slightly powdery base that runs through the whole line. Candy pushes furthest into gourmand territory, opening with candied fruit and building on vanilla for warmth and body.
It is unashamedly sweet, and that is the point. This is not a fragrance trying to be sophisticated or restrained; it is built to be enjoyable and to perform.
The performance is the second half of the argument. Yara projects strongly for the first couple of hours and lasts eight or more, which at this price is unusual - and it is the reason Lattafa has taken the share of the market it has.
Apply sparingly. In Gulf heat a gourmand amplifies considerably, and one or two sprays does what four would do in cooler weather.

How does it compare to the original Yara?
Same orange blossom and musk base. Candy is sweeter and more gourmand; the original is more floral and slightly more restrained.
How long does it last?
Eight hours or more, with strong projection in the first two. Longevity is one of the main reasons the line sells as well as it does.
Is it too sweet for daytime?
In cooler weather it works in daylight. In peak summer heat it is better in the evening, and one spray rather than three.
Is it suitable for an office?
Apply very sparingly if so. It projects strongly, which is excellent socially and can be a lot in a shared space.
