COSRX's Acne Pimple Master Patch is the product that took hydrocolloid dressings out of the pharmacy and into skincare routines.
There are no active ingredients. The patch is a hydrocolloid disc - the same material used in wound dressings - that absorbs fluid from a surfaced whitehead and holds a moist environment over it while it settles. Overnight, a raised spot typically flattens, and the patch turns opaque white where it has drawn fluid out. That colour change is the signal it has done its job.
The second effect matters as much as the first and is rarely mentioned: the patch is a physical barrier between your fingers and the blemish. Picking is what converts a spot that would have cleared in two days into a mark that lasts two months, and a patch makes picking impossible without deliberately removing it.
The pack contains 96 patches across three sizes, so a small one suits a single spot near the nose and a larger one covers a cluster along the jaw. Apply to clean, completely dry skin - anything oily underneath will stop it adhering.

Will it work on a spot under the skin?
No. Hydrocolloid works by absorbing fluid, so it needs a surfaced whitehead to draw from. On a deep cystic blemish with nothing at the surface, a patch has nothing to do.
How long do I leave it on?
Until it turns opaque white, usually six to eight hours. Overnight is the natural window. If it whitens quickly you can replace it with a fresh one.
Can I put it on over serum or moisturiser?
No - it needs bare, completely dry skin to stick. Apply your routine to the rest of your face and leave the spot clean.
Can I wear makeup over it?
The thinner patches are close to invisible and can take a light layer of base, though the edge usually shows under heavy coverage. Most people use them overnight for that reason.
Does it contain salicylic acid or tea tree?
No. These are plain hydrocolloid with no actives, which is why they suit sensitive skin and can be used on a spot that is already inflamed.
