Vanilla in a single form is one-dimensional - pleasant, sweet, and flat after twenty minutes. This layers three: vanilla absolute, which is dark and slightly smoky; liquid vanilla, which is the smoother, creamier reading; and caramelised vanilla, which brings the toasted gourmand sweetness.
Each behaves differently on skin and at different points in the fragrance's development, which is why the composition keeps moving rather than settling into a single note.
Lavender and cacao provide the counterweight. Without something aromatic pushing against three vanillas, the result would be cloying - the lavender is what keeps it wearable.
As an Eau de Parfum it has real presence, though it sits close to the skin rather than projecting widely.
Best in the evening and in cooler months; gourmands amplify in heat, so apply sparingly in a Gulf summer.

Is it too sweet?
It is a gourmand, so it is sweet by design - but the lavender keeps it from being sickly. If you dislike vanilla-forward fragrances generally, this will not change your mind.
Can I wear it in summer here?
Sparingly. Gourmands amplify in heat, so one spray in July does what three would do in January.
How long does it last?
Eight hours or more on most skin. Vanilla is a base note with excellent longevity, and three forms of it even more so.
Is it refillable?
