Celimax's Dual Barrier Creamy Toner treats a problem that watery toners cannot.
Surface dryness and a damaged barrier feel similar and are not the same. Surface dryness responds to water. A damaged barrier - skin that stings at products it used to tolerate, feels tight within minutes of cleansing, and reacts unpredictably - needs lipids, and a conventional water-based toner contributes none.
This is milk-textured for that reason, carrying ceramides at the toner step. Panthenol addresses the stinging directly, and hyaluronic acid provides hydration that the lipids can then hold in place.
At 200ml it is also generous enough to use twice daily without rationing, which matters during a repair stretch when consistency does the work.
Apply to damp skin after cleansing, pressing rather than wiping. Follow with the Dual Barrier cream, or with a light moisturiser. During a repair stretch, this plus a cream and sunscreen is a complete routine.
